Langtang Gosaikunda Sundarijal trekking is a very rewarding trekking trail since it is in a less frequented area. Here you will get different cultural experiences. Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just southern part of the Tibet border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range of the northern and a slightly lower range of snowy to the peaks to the southern Langtang Lirung (7246 m) dominates the valley to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388 m) and Naya Khang-Ri(5846 m) lies to the south and Dorje Lakpa (6966 m) protects the east end of the valley.

  • Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu (Tribhuwan International Airport), High Spirit Treks representative will welcome you and take you to your hotel, (Hotel Accommodation)
  • Day 02Drive from Kathmandu (1350 M) to Syabrubensi (1460 M), 7-8 hrs, (Teahouse Accommodation + B-L-D),We begin the trek from Kathmandu by driving to Syabrubensi. Crossing the Trishuli River (1680 m) which drains away from the Gosainkund Lakes, we climb steeply up through beautiful Chir and Blue pine forest, usually an excellent day for wildlife and birds. Arrival at Syabru Bensi (2130m) and enjoy the views of Langtang valley.
  • Day 03Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel (2416 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D),Descend to the Langtang river. Cross and head upriver through an impressive gorge. For the rest of the day, there is almost no human habitation but the forests of rhododendron and prickly leafed oak, alive with bird life. After walking 5-6 hours through the amazing trail, we reach at Lama Hotel.
  • Day 04Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3330 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D),After breakfast, hike through the scenic lush green forest ways, local villages and vegetation towards Langtang Village, next amazing destination of our trek.
  • Day 05Trek from Langtang to Kyanjing Gompa (3730 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D)The valley is now the typical glacier-worn-shaped valley, in contrast to the steep water-worn V-shaped valley of previous day. Keep eyes open for the Himalayan Thar, a large mountain goat often seen on the higher slopes. Views of the valley and its soaring peaks are very impressive. We continue through the yak pastures under the great snow peaks to Kyangin Gompa.
  • Day 06Extra day to explore around Kyanjing Gompa (3730 M), (Teahouse+ B-L-D)Explore and enjoy the remarkable views of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Langtang Ri (7239m), Lonpo Gang (7100m), and Dorji Lakpa (6989m) and make a worthwhile excursion up to the Glaciers; a short climb to Yala, provides spectacular views. The valley is in the midst of exceptionally rugged and beautiful mountain ranges, ringed with glaciers, snowfalls and huge moraines.
  • Day 07Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2416 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D),We start retracing down-hill up to Gompa enjoying the spectacular views throughout the trail and reach to Gompa.
  • Day 08Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru/Khedi (2210 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D)Trek down the hill and cross the Langtang river. Enjoy the large stands of Larch, the flowers and the valley views while moving steeply to Syabrubesi.
  • Day 09Trek from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gomba (3330 M), 3-5 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D)Climb through the beautiful forests of fir and rhododendron. The only signs of human habitation are the occasional shepherd’s huts at the points where water is found. We arrive at Sing Gompa after trekking for approximately five hours.
  • Day 10Trek from Shin gomba to Gosainkunda (4380 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D),The steep rugged trail is enriched by dramatic views: to the west-Himal Chuli (7893m), Manaslu (8156m), and Ganesh peak (7406m), possibly even the Annapurna ranges. Towards the north, across the valley is Langtang Lirung, with few huts in high yak pastures of Laurebina (4609m). We cross a small ridge and take the views of Holy Lakes-there are over a dozen lakes in the Gosainkund Basin, the main three being Saraswatikund, Bhairavkund and Gosainkund. There is a belief that Lord Shiva created Gosainkund when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after swallowing some poison. Explore around and enjoy the views around the Gosaikunda.
  • Day 11Trek from Gosainkunda to Gopte (3530 M), 6-7 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D)We continue trekking along the rugged trails and pass several trains and other smaller lakes upto the Thare Pati Pass (4602m). Then descend along a ridge to the tree line past beautiful waterfalls, through juniper and rhododendron forest.
  • Day 12Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2215 M), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse+ B-L-D)We start following gentle ‘ups & downs’ generally following a ridge to camp just above Chisapani (2194m) with excellent panoramic views of the Himalaya from Ganesh to Everest.
  • Day 13Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal, 4-5 hrs and drive to Kathmandu (1350 M), 1-2 hrs, (Hotel + B-L).Climb through the small pass at Burlang Bhagjyang (2438m) and bid farewell to the great line of snow peaks of the Himalayas before descending to Sundarijal (1457m). Then we drive for 45 minutes to Kathmandu.
