Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the best trekking trails with beautiful natural Environment, Various panoramic Himalayas ranges, culture, Festivals, and different old heritages which lead towards 4,130 meters (13,549ft) altitude. Annapurna trekking region in Nepal has been recognized as paradise. Annapurna trekking region is a very popular area that offers a dramatic trekking experience for trekkers from all over the world. Trekking in the Annapurna region is one of the most famous and popular destination of Nepal. The area is dominated by the presence of such peaks and mountains e.g. the Annapurna Ranges, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Machhapuchre etc. These mountains loom in the distance throughout your trek, giving you a true Himalayan experience and lots of enjoyment. Trekking through the lowland villages and mountain communities will expose you to the variety of different cultures of the Gurung, Magars, Manangi, Thakali people and other local ethnic groups.

The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is a trek in the Annapurna region which commonly starts or finishes in either Phedi or Nayapul and reaches the Annapurna Base Camp. Take a bus to either Phedi or Nayapul. There is a myriad of trails that traverse the Annapurna and lead to Chomrong from where there is only one path up to Annapurna Base Camp. Nayapul is marked by a collection of roadside shacks that function as bus/taxi stop backed by a slightly more substantial village that has a jeep track through the middle of it.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,428ft)
  • Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu (1,350M/4,429 ft) to Pokhara (820M/2,788ft), 7/8 hrs or 25 minutes flight in option, (Hotel + B),
  • Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi (1,130 M/3,707ft), 1 hrs and trek to Ghandruk (1940 M/6,364ft), 4-5 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 04: Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170 M/7,119ft), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 05: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2,580 M/8,464ft), 6-7 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 06: Trek from Doban to Deurali (3,230 M/7,644ft), 4-5 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 07: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours
  • Day 08: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310M/7,578ft), 6-7 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 09: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1,780 M/5,839ft), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 10: Trek from Jhinudada to Australian Camp (1850 M/6,069ft), (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),
  • Day 11: Trek from Australian Camp to Sarangkot (1592 M/5,223ft), 2-3 hrs and drive to Pokhara (850M/2,788ft), 45 minutes,
  • Day 12: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350 M/4,429ft), 7-8 hrs or 25 minutes flight in option, (Hotel + B).

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,428ft)High Spirits assists to welcome and receive you in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and transfer you to the Hotel for overnight accommodation as per booking. In the evening a welcome dinner will be hosted by High Spirit Trek. Overnight Stay in Kathmandu.
  • Day 02Drive from Kathmandu (1,350M/4,429 ft) to Pokhara (820M/2,788ft), 7/8 hrs or 25 minutes flight in option, (Hotel + B),Takes 6-7 hour drive and 30 minute by fly and transfer to hotel for overnight. At hotel in Pokhara be refresh, rest or free for personal activities or visit Lakeside downtown market. Overnight stay in pokhara.
  • Day 03 Drive from Pokhara to Phedi (1,130 M/3,707ft), 1 hrs and trek to Ghandruk (1940 M/6,364ft), 4-5 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),After Breakfast we drive to NayaPul 1 hr 20 minute and start the trek from Nayapul, we trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. we also visit the Gurung museum that day. Overnight Stay in Ghandruk. (B,L,D,)
  • Day 04Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170 M/7,119ft), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),After early morning breakfast we will start our trek to Chhomrong we can enjoy great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre) and Gangapurna. A steep descent takes us to the Kimrong Khola. on the way of Chhomrong we get beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive. Overnight Stay in Chhomrong. (B,L,D)
  • Day 05 Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2,580 M/8,464ft), 6-7 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),Today we started to walk from Chhomrong after having breakfast. First we walked about 1 hour down from “Chhomrong”, crossed 1 bridge and started to walk up to the place called “Sinuwa”. We had lunch in “Sinuwa”. We had very delicious food in Sinuwa. Anyway after heading towards “Dovan” we again saw one place called Bamboo. In Bamboo we saw some lodges. We rested there a bit and again started our walk. From “Bamboo” we again walk through the jungle way and after one hour of walk we finally, reached our destination place called Dovan. Overnight Stay in Dovan. (B,L,D)
  • Day 06Trek from Doban to Deurali (3,230 M/7,644ft), 4-5 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),The day starts with a gentle gradual ascent following the trail above the river through thick bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests up the side of the canyon. The trail passes through solitary places. We get a sense of peace from the beauty of Mother Nature that surrounds us. There is also the possibility of seeing a variety of wildlife species such as wild pigs, deer, and maybe even snow leopards. We climb again to Hinko Cave, an overhanging rock. Our further climb paves the way to Deurali. Overnight stay in Deurali.(B,L,D)
  • Day 07 Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hoursToday, we start our trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somewhat strenuous. From Machhapuchhre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharva Chuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. . From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. . At this juncture, at the way of annapurnas Base Camp we enjoy the views of Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and, of course, the Fishtail or Machhapuchhre.   • Day 08Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310M/7,578ft), 6-7 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),From the Annapurna base camp we retrace our steps to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill, so it shouldn’t be little bit difficult. But on the way of Bamboo we will see the waterfalls that drop down from a high point to the rocks below. We further pass through the forests with great views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight stay in Bamboo. (B,L,D)
  • Day 09Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1,780 M/5,839ft), 5-6 hrs, (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),From Bamboo, we head for a steep ascent to the Kuldi Ghar and then to Sinuwa following the stone steps that lead to Lower Chhomrong. Then, we ascend on the thousand stone steps taking us to Upper Chhomrong. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just around 10-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu. Overnight stay in Jhinu Dada. (B,L,D)
  • Day 10Trek from Jhinudada to Australian Camp (1850 M/6,069ft), (Teahouse-Lodge + B-L-D),Today we start our trek from Jhinu Dada to Australian Camp, which is a beautiful place on the route of our trekking. Australian Camp set on the beautiful hilltop offers striking views over the valleys and stunning views of the Annapurna Mountain range. After the walk of about five hours, we reach to Australian Camp. Stay overnight at Lodge/Teahouse.
  • Day 11Trek from Australian Camp to Sarangkot (1592 M/5,223ft), 2-3 hrs and drive to Pokhara (850M/2,788ft), 45 minutes,After having breakfast at guest house in Australian Camp, we will start our trekking to sarangkot and This is our last day in Annapurna Region on the way we can get lot of local gurung village, Dhampus and etc. when we reach sarangkot there will be our car/van waiting for us to take us back to the Pokhara, the city of lakes and natural wonders, overnight Stay in pokhara.
  • Day 12Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350 M/4,429ft), 7-8 hrs or 25 minutes flight in option, (Hotel + B).You will have early breakfast at hotel in Pokhara and Our tourist bus leaves at 7 AM to drive us to Kathmandu and the driving will be a fantastic experience as we drive past many satellite towns on the way and we are able to see rural settlements, gushing rivers, terraces and green rural landscapes; after 6-7 hours driving we will arrive Kathmandu. overnight night stay in Kathmandu.
